Beer festivals and bachelor parties go together like beer festivals and bachelor parties. Thanks to the new folks in town at the Golden Nugget on September 17th and 18th weekend you’re going to be able to enjoy 2 different beer festivals on each of the different days. 

Saturday is the Craft Beer Tasting with over 200 varieties and food and live entertainment for only $49 bucks.  Come back on Sunday for Oktoberfest and join the beer maidens on the outside deck to drink Oktoberfest style.

Like we said when the Golden Nugget took over, we’re excited for what they’re gonna bring to AC and this is just another example of them stepping it up for your visit to town.

Mike – Atlantic City Bachelor Party

 Why would you ever want to celebrate your bachelor party with a butcher?  That’s like saying why would you want a surgeon in the emergency room.  When you’re looking for an amazing steak dinner at a bachelor party, look for a place that has its own butcher on-site.

That place is Gallagher’s Steak House at Resorts in Atlantic City.  Here, you’ll be sure to get an amazing steak (and lots of other things) carved for you by the in-house butcher.  That might not even be the best part though – when you walk in the place you’ll see the racks and racks of steaks drying out.  In case you didn’t know – this drying process that Gallagher’s puts their steak through makes every steak that much better.  They start with ridiculously enormous cuts that, while they dry, lose their water weight and condense all the steak flavor into what they cook for you.  It’s a steak explosion in your mouth. 

They’ll cook it for you on an open flame charcoal grill and when you take that first bite you’ll wish everyone you ever meet has their bachelor party in AC so you can come back.  So, when you’re looking for an amazing meal (not to mention the drinks) as part of your AC festivities, head over to Gallagher’s in Resorts.

Everyone knows the best sub shop in Atlantic City is White House Sub Shop.  Everyone also knows that getting to White House was a bit of a pain because it wasn’t located next to a Casino.   Well, that’s all fixed now thanks to the fact that the White House Sub Shop is opening today (May 25th, 2011) in the Trump Taj Mahal.

If you’re in town for a bachelor party stop by today for the 18-foot long sub cutting ceremony.  It’ll be a good base before you start drinking away the day.

Mike – Atlantic City Bachelor Party

The folks over at Tony Boloney’s go out of their way to make sure their customers always get what they want.  They’re even willing to go above and beyond for your bachelor party and throw the world’s largest and most gruesome pizza eating competition, and yes – you can enter (hurry, registration closes soon).   The party happens May 14th so plan your bachelor party accordingly.

In order to win you have to be the first to eat through their entire menu of 30 different amazing slices.  It shouldn’t be a problem though because if your bachelor party is any good the night before that means you’ll be ridiculously hung over and nothing cures a hangover like massive amounts of food.

Of course, if you just want to see this all go down you’ll still have a great time because they’ll be plenty to see and do including a beer garden, bands, girls that like guys who eat 30 pieces of pizza, and plenty of silly games.   It’s the perfect way to kill the daytime hours of your bachelor party – and by that we mean kill the hours until the strippers show up at your hotel suite.  

It’s also the perfect alibi for when you get home because you can always say – yeah, we went to a pizza eating competition and were so full afterwards we couldn’t even party that hard, so we just relaxed.

Our next idea may seem a little odd to you at first and it’s only for those of you who want something a little more unique and refined, so let us fully explain.   Everyone loves a steak dinner with 15 or so of your friends at a bachelor party.   Plus, if you’re like most guys you love the feel of cooking steaks over a grill or open fire.  Well, this next idea let’s you do both, without the clean up.

The Viking Cooking School can set you and your bachelor party up with a couple hour session where they’ll let you go wild (just don’t set each other on fire) in their professional kitchen where a master chef will teach you how to make the best steaks you’ve probably ever had in your life.   You’ll also spend part of that time training to be your own pro bartender and make drinks that’ll knock all of you on your buts but taste great and be the right drink to go along with that steak.   If that means you just want them to offer you some different scotches in a glass, they can do that too.

Oh yeah, we forgot to mention that all of this takes place in the heart of one of the great Atlantic City Hotels, about 20 yards from a casino floor and another 20 yards from a great nightclub.

Want to get the guys absolutely full of amazing food at the bachelor party – bring them to Carmen’s Italian Restaurant in Atlantic City.  Located in the Tropicana, Carmine’s is the place to go if you want to sit down for a great Italian meal and celebrate the bachelor’s last nights of freedom. 

The main reason Carmine’s is such a good place for your next bachelor party all centers on the food. First off, it tastes great.  Taste is pretty much a no brainer for a restaurant but this place goes above and beyond.  Secondly, the food comes out in portions big enough to feed 4-6 people.  This is great because everyone gets to taste a little of this and a little of that – without having to sit there for 20 minutes thinking of what to order or wondering if they get should get the lasagna or the veal.  Also, if your bachelor party is over 15 people, you don’t even have to choose the food or order.  How great will you feel when you sit down and they just start bringing food over.  Don’t worry – we’ve tried many times and there is no way you won’t get everything you want.

The only thing you have to think about when you’re sitting down for a meal here is how soon to unbutton your pants.   No, not for the regular reasons you would unbutton your pants at a bachelor party, but because you’ll eat so much you’ll nearly split your pants.

We recommend hitting Carmine’s on the first night of a multi-day bachelor party.  This way you won’t have to eat for another 3 days and can focus on the drinking.   Speaking of which, Carmine’s does have great drinks, so no worries there.

Steak!  Yup, as any good bachelor party knows, a good enough steak can make the bachelor party that much better.   We’ve talked about some great steakhouses in Atlantic City before (Bobby Flay’s & Chelsea Prime included) and Morton’s the Steakhouse is another great one to add to the list. 

Located inside Caesar’s Hotel and Casino Morton’s is as much a feast for the stomach as it is on the eyes.  One of the main features we like about Morton’s (besides the food) is that for an over the top experience for your whole group you can set up a private dining room in one of their separate rooms.  What better way to enjoy an amazing dinner than surrounded by the bachelor and all his friends – in the comfort (and privacy) of your own room. 

Of course, Morton’s food is ridiculously good.   They’ll bring the raw steaks out to you and you’ll get to pick which type you want before they start cooking so it’s a great way to get a chance to pick exactly what you’re looking for.  The Bar 1221 is also a great way to start with some drinks before dinner while you wait for everyone to show up.

If you’re looking to have at least a part of the night (if not all) that’s high class, stylish, delicious and memorable, not to mention eat a great meal, stop by Caesar’s and head into Morton’s right away.

We also hear that what happens in the private dining rooms stays in the private dining rooms – so use your imagination (or ask us for ideas) on how to really turn up the bachelor party dinner.
